Carbon Wheels Group Buy
As many of you know, a good amount of bicycle manufacturing happens in China, including rims. Many large wheel manufacturers typically outsource most of their rims to be produced in China. They end up putting the wheel together domestically.
A friend of mine have done extensive research and decided to order a pair from a manufacturer in China, who hand built the wheel for us. I know this sounds scary, since receiving the wheel, he has put more than 3,000 miles on it and done several Cat 3 races. I can say this without a doubt that these wheels are comparable to anything in the market. They also offer one year warranty, and the seller is very cooperative and willing to work with the clients.
We are working with the same manufacturer right now and we would both like to buy wheels. If we buy more than 20 wheels, we are getting a special price from him. The following is the list. If we can generate enough interests, I will get ahead and do the order and mange all of the responsibilities.
I know this is not enough information, but I will add more information as more questions arise.
Hit the jump to see countless photos and more information such as pricing.

Letter to LBS
I had my LBS build up my bike, they quoted me a $100 to put it together but I ended up paying over $300. Also, they did not warrenty the work. This happend a while ago so I forgot all about it. I recently got this real cute post card from them but it brought back bad memories.
Eric,
I know you guys have been in business for a long time and you know what you are doing. Thus I how that my e-mail does not come across as the ramblings of an uninformed angry costumer. My family too owns and operates a business and can understand the frustration or dealing with uninformed clients.
I initially feared that writing this letter to explain my frustrations could alienated me with you and your staff when I come into your shop. However, after the bitter experience, I found my self driving over 60 miles to Lake Charles for all of my bicycle needs. I also did not want to rush to judgement and be hothead, so I have thought about this for several months and compared you bicycle shop to many other including Houston, Austin, Seattle, Lake Charles, and D.C. Without a doubt I can say that your shop has treated me the worst and misrepresent the product and services you offer.

Walmart the Local Bike Shop?
The popularity of Continental tires in the cycling community is pretty much on par with, umm, no one... needless to say most snobby cyclist (with the exception of a few who desire Vittoria) and those wishing to be snobs usually ride Conti's top of the line tires, the GP400.
That was until they decided to come out with these puppies!
Smell that? Thats 100% hand made rubber or err tire from Germany. You know the Germans always make good stuff, and usually over charge.
I mounted these puppies and off I went. They are amazing tires (a review on them later.) My average speed went up by at least 2 mph! /sarcasm They ate up the Texas chip seal like it was pudding! Rolling smooth on my 25 mile stretch of chip seal was delightful. However, they were no match for a small piece of metal, roughly the size of a hair.
Visting my parents in rural Texas, the place where carbon fiber does not exists and bike shops close at 5pm Friday and open 12pm Monday. This left me little choice but to try my other LBS, Walmart. I figured they would sell some crappy tubes that would last maybe a week, wtf more do you want for 99 cents? To my surprise, they have a pretty nice selection of bike related products, about 200 bikes, most of them cruisers. Towards the end of the bicycle section they even have accessories.
